Detailed program overview:
Day 1Arrival at our camp
Arrival at the rafting center at a time that suits you. Check-in is from 2 pm. Accommodation in bungalows or rooms. Free time for socializing and getting to know each other.
We serve dinner from 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm. On the first evening the menu is grilled meat. For those who don't like grilled food we also offer goulash. If you are on a special diet or are a vegetarian, vegan… please let us know when booking the package or at the latest when checking in at reception. At weekends, that is on Fridays and Saturdays, we organize live music. Overnight stay.
Day 2Trnovac Lake
Approximate breakfast time is around 9 am. You will have the chance to try specialties from our region, home-made food from the nearby villages - homemade prosciutto, sausage, our famous buckwheat uštipci, homemade sour cherry jam, eggs, cheese pies, young Romanija kajmak…
After breakfast we depart in our off-road vehicles to Sutjeska National Park. We tour the Perućica primeval forest and from the viewpoints we admire the charms and beauty of the untouched nature of Europe's only primeval forest. We continue toward the Prijevor viewpoint below Maglić - the highest mountain in Bosnia and Herzegovina - from where there is a phenomenal view of Maglić, Volujak, Durmitor, Zelengora, Jahorina, Perućica, the Sutjeska canyon…. We visit beautiful katuns (mountain pastures) and have lunch in nature.
The last location we visit is the Valley of Heroes - Tjentište, a former large tourist center with a rich cultural and historical heritage. Of course, a visit to the monument to the Heroes of the Battle of Sutjeska is a must, as is a tour of what was once the largest open-air swimming pool in Europe at Tjentište. The return to the rafting center follows.
Free time to rest and dinner. Socializing by the campfire with music follows.
Day 3Rafting on the Tara from Brštanovica
After breakfast you will be given the equipment needed for rafting. You wear all equipment over your swimsuit or shorts.
The drive from our camp to the rafting starting point takes about an hour.
During the rafting you can expect more than 30 exciting rapids (the best known are Ćelije, Borovi, Varda…) that will take your breath away with their power and speed and give you a real feeling of adventure and adrenaline.
Somewhere around the middle of the descent we will take a break and see who has the courage to pass the "manliness test", that is, to bathe in an icy waterfall whose temperature is barely 5 °C.
You will also have the chance to swim in the Piva River - a river with incredibly clean water. After rafting on the Tara, we continue on the Drina to our center.
After some 2-5 hours, which is how long the descent itself lasts, we arrive at the foot of the rafting center. Returning the equipment and warm water follow, which you will find immensely pleasant after the cold water of the Tara River.
We serve lunch when you return from rafting. For lunch you will have the chance to try homemade veal čorba, a fresh village salad, and as the main course veal under the sač with potatoes. All dishes are prepared on the spot, in our kitchen, from mostly organic ingredients from the nearby villages. For dessert we serve homemade cakes - sour cherry cake, wafers, walnut pies, čupavci…
